Free without-obligation Consultation

When you contact us for a quotation we will arrange an appointment to call and view the property to be cleaned.  (In some circumstances we will provide a telephone quote - this is usually for regular or repeat customers when the work is clearly defined).

At the consultation we will assess the job on a room by room basis with you, taking into account your preferences and any optional services that you may choose.  We will complete the consultation by providing you with a schedule of the work and a price.  If you wish to proceed it should be possible to finalise arrangements at the consultation, however, at times when there is high demand for our services it may be necessary for us to confirm with a telephone call the next working day.        

Costs

Our hourly rate for standard domestic cleaning is £ 12.00 per hour.

Payment

Payment can be by cash, cheque or standing order.  For one-off work we accept payment either at the consultation or you can pay our cleaner when the work has been completed (a receipt will be provided).  For contracted regular work we prefer a standing order or will invoice on a monthly basis - our terms require payment within 28 days and there is a late payment charge of 10% of the original bill for each day that payment is delayed. 

Insurance

Friendlycleaning maintain full public liability insurance. We respect our clients' homes and take great care but accidents can happen.  An excess charge of £ 250.00 will be applicable in the event of a claim made against Friendlycleaning.  

Cancellations

At Friendlycleaning we recognise that sometimes plans go awry.  If for whatever reason you are forced to cancel a service that you have booked, provided you give us 48 hours notice, it's not a problem.  If you cancel the day before, we require payment of  our administration charge (£ 25).  If you cancel on the day we require payment for the service in full - it's only fair as we have scheduled the staff and still have to pay them!  If we cancel, we will of course not charge you and will do our utmost to reschedule the work at your convenience.       

Working in your home

We would like you to obtain the maximum benefit from the service that you have purchased, therefore we would ask you to ensure that our staff are able to proceed with their work with as few distractions as possible.  For example, it is not a problem if children or pets will be in the house when we are working, but please let us know and ensure that they are out of harms way. 

Some clients may prefer Friendlycleaning to call when they are at work or busy with other things.  We are happy to hold keys and reset alarms when we have finished our work.  You can be assured that Friendlycleaning maintains the strictest security protocols so that you can have complete peace of mind when allowing us access to your home or office.  We will be pleased to discuss our procedures with you, and any special instructions that you may have. 

Please bear in mind that if your home has many objects on display or personal possessions that need to be moved or tidied away before we clean, this will take extra time and will mean an additional cost.  Our cleaner will not move furniture, as we would hate to damage anything, including our staff!

Remember that we provide all the equipment and only use our non-toxic eco-friendly cleaning materials.   The products we use are generally child and pet-friendly but not to be recommended for internal consumption!

Our Cleaner

At Friendlycleaning we choose our staff carefully - good cleaners are hard to find!  Our staff are not available for private hire by you without our consent (or within the first 12 months of cancellation of our service).  Should this ever be the case, you agree to be billed for the inclusive period at the frequency previously agreed with us.  

Pet & Plant Service

Friendlycleaning recognise that caring for precious pets and plants is a big responsibility.  We will follow your instructions to the letter, including who to contact and what to do if there is a problem, and in 99 out of 100 cases customers will return to find pets and plants as healthy as they left them.  However, occasionally things just happen - pets can become unwell, plants get diseases too - we ask our customers to accept this when they sign up for this service.

Privacy

At Friendlycleaning we are committed to protecting your privacy. We only use the data we collect about you to process your work. Any personal data that we collect is controlled by friendlycleaning and will not be passed to a third party without your permission.

Recommend a Friend

If you introduce a friend to us we will credit your account with £ 12.00 for each home or office we manage.  This will usually be done automatically following our second visit to the referred address.
